TERMINUS | 2004/07

Investigating the nature of memory and resonance within architecture and place, Terminus weaves a tapestry of taped telephone conversations with those who worked in the grand New York Central Terminal train station in Buffalo during its heyday. These memories are juxtaposed with tranquil shots of the abandoned derelict station, as it now lies awaiting its future fate.

"Verticality, iconography and permanence, and when you have those three things in a building, people quickly respond."

Audio version made during an International Digital Filmmaker Residency at Squeaky Wheel, Buffalo, NY supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, USA
